Dive into what maps are used for and how they're created, whether real or imagined, with illustrator and cartographer Abrain Curington.

Ever wonder how the maps in your favorite books are made? We’ll walk through mapping basics, then save some time for you to draw a draft of your own illustrated map! Have a map you’re already working on? Feel free to bring it along!

Through original illustrations, examples, and hands-on demonstration, you'll discover:

·       Why maps? Aren't all the places discovered by now?

·       How can maps help us process and remember?

·       What are the elements of mapmaking?

·       How do I make my own map?
