South Hill Large Meeting Room

Join the South Hill Teen Council of the 2024 - 2025 season! Teens ages 13 - 18 are invited to earn volunteer hours while helping to influence library programs and services. Just show up to join!

South Hill Teen Council Members get to work on a variety of fun projects and crafts, play games connect with other local teems and more! 

There is no application process for Teen Council! Just show up and participate to join! Teens ages 13-18 are invited to attend.

We normally meet the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month but this is subject to change due to holidays and other impacts to schedules. Please check the 'Attend' at MyPcls.Org to see the latest meetings scheduled. 

What to Expect


Participants in Teen Councils can expect to receive:

  • One hour of volunteer service per meeting attended.
  • Mentorship from library staff.
  • Opportunities to steer library programs and services.
  • Leadership experience.

Participants will:

  • Assist library staff in creating and hosting teen programs.
  • Design book displays.
  • Create social media content for the @PCLTeens Instagram account.
  • Assist in library activities and special projects.
  • Meet new people.
  • Play games.
