Join community members and library staff on Zoom to share poems you love, poems that you are currently reading, or poems you have written!

Join community members and library staff to share poems you love, poems that you are currently reading, or poems you have written! Poems can be from any publication or book, as well as from online resources. We want to celebrate the art of Poetry and share the diverse voices our customers find meaningful to them.

Material containing explicit language or possibly triggering/trauma-related subject matters should be presented with a courtesy warning, whenever possible.

As it is important that we maintain Intellectual Freedom in library spaces, all poems will be allowed (barring anything that would break library policy). Be aware of your boundaries and limits, and respect everyone’s right to share the art that they like- but do whatever you need to care for yourself.

Each participant will be given 3-5 minutes to share a poem, with about 10 minutes to discuss. There is no guarantee we will have time for every participant to share a poem.

As a reminder, there is only time to read poems, not workshop them. We will also ask that you not provide any unsolicited criticism of poems shared that fellow participants have written.

Registration is required to receive Zoom invitation.
