Welcome to the STEAM Kids Discovery Lab, where kids dive into science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on activities, experiments and creative challenges.
Programs are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and support child-led exploration.
Each STEAM Discovery Lab session may look a little different - read on or check with your library for details!
September: littleBits Circuitry: Get hands-on experience putting together the pieces of working electrical circuits, without the worry of sparks or solder.
October: With assistance from a Burke Museum Burke Box, let's explore mammals. Hold, feel and learn about specific members of the mammal family, including fur and skull specimens to examine and touch.
November: Bee-Bots Art: Can you get a robot to draw a straight line? What about a circle? Give the robot instructions and watch it draw out your ideas on paper.
