Explore Aztec Anomal Motif designs inspired by Aztec symbols and textile traditions with artist Amaranta Sandys.

Join us and learn about the histories, contributions, and lived experiences of those around us as we uplift community voices and explore stories that act as mirrors of our own lives and windows into experiences different from our own.

Join artist Amaranta Sandys from ArtMaranth Mobile School & Design and explore three Aztec Animal Motif options (hummingbird, jaquar, and frog), utilizing geometrical art designs and using oil pastels.This class is inspired by Aztec symbols and textile traditions such as sarapes, shawls, dresses, purses, wallets and blouses.

Registration for this event is required. Ages 6 years and older. All children should be accompanied by an adult. For registration assistance, contact Sumner Pierce County Library at (253) 548-3306.
