Practice reading aloud with a friendly animal listener!

Children are invited to read aloud to a gentle animal friend, supported by a trained handler.

These sessions provide a calm, encouraging space for children to practice reading in a fun, low-pressure environment. Animal availability may vary depending on the library location and partner organization. Please check event details below or call your branch for specifics.

The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County will bring their educators and adoptable rabbits to DuPont! You can practice your reading while gently interacting with the animals.
