From Tacoma's working waterfront to modern workshops, women are carving out space in the trades like never before.

In this talk, Cori Shooter, Boat Shop Manager for Foss Waterway Seaport, shares stories from her own experience as a craftsperson and educator, highlighting the local history of women in the trades and the legacy of skill, mentorship, and creativity that continues to shape the South Sound today.

Join us and learn about the histories, contributions, and lived experiences of those around us as we uplift community voices and explore stories that act as mirrors of our own lives and windows into experiences different from our own.
