Learn how to properly hold a ukulele, hold a pick, and position your hands and body to strum simple chords. Turn the chords into a simple song (or two).

Discover the joy of playing the ukulele in this beginner-friendly workshop! Jeff Saxon, a local singer, songwriter, guitarist, and ukulele player, guides participants through the essentials, including how to hold and strum the uke (with or without a pick), fret notes clearly, and tune the instrument. You’ll learn four easy chords and use them to play one or two familiar songs. Teens only, registration required.

The class will be held at the Buckley Youth Activity Center at 251 S River Rd, Buckley, WA 98321.
