Learn and explore the sciences and various sustainability topics at your Pierce County Library!

Fall is the time to plant bulbs. Many bulbs need the cold winter to trigger their biological clock called vernalization. The chill breaks the dormancy. We will discuss Fall planting of tulips, daffodils, hyacinths, alliums, crocus and garlic, so when Spring arises you have beautiful flowers and garlic for the summer. This is a beginner-friendly class.
