Philosophy with Young People (an Educators' Workshop)

An Arts and Culture Program

In this workshop for educators and caregivers, learn the joy of bringing philosophy to young minds from Karen Emmerman, a professor and expert in K-12 philosophy education.

We will discuss young people’s philosophical abilities, discover how doing philosophy differs from teaching philosophy, and gain tools that can help cultivate in young people a lifetime of curiosity and discovery.

Young people are born curious, and encouraging them to think philosophically can build their confidence, self-esteem, critical reflection, active listening, and reasoning abilities.

Join us for a program that celebrates the rich creative and cultural diversity in Pierce County Communities through arts and culture experiences.
