Join artist Vaquero Azul for a hands‑on workshop creating LGBT+‑themed Nichos—small decorative shadow boxes traditionally used to celebrate, remember, and honor loved ones. Rooted in Mexican artistic traditions, this workshop invites participants to design a Nicho that reflects themselves or commemorates someone meaningful in their lives. Alongside the art‑making process, Vaquero Azul explores the range and history of Nichos while emphasizing the importance of knowing and honoring Queer history. This reflective and creative experience offers space to remember community members who have passed and to celebrate identity, memory, and legacy through art.
