Arts and Crafts - for kids!

Fairy and Gnome Houses!

Learn new things and have fun while creating art and craft projects each week from home in this online interactive art program for kids.

For this session we will use recycled materials and nature to make fairy and gnome houses!

*Supplies Needed:

• a small milk carton (a small cardboard box, plastic jar, or paper created structure work just as well)
• A sturdy paper plate or piece of cardboard to use as a base
• Glue and tape
• Nature materials such as rocks, grass, sticks, flowers, pinecones, etc. (art supplies such as pompoms, feathers, beads, etc. work well, too)
• Paint, markers, crayons, or pieces of paper to decorate your base and house before adding items

*Modifiers do exist to allow for participation even if materials are unavailable for your household! Please contact Miss Holly at VirtualPCLS@piercecountylibrary.org for any modifier questions.

Note for caregivers - Registering your child for this event gives them permission to participate in the library's virtual event hosted on Zoom, an online platform. The event will be monitored by library staff. We encourage caregivers to join in with your child and ask that an adult stay with children under 5. 

How do Zoom programs work?

1. Register for the program. Take care entering your email address properly.
2. You will immediately receive an email including the Zoom link from donotreply@mylocallibrary.info. If you do not receive this link within an hour, contact us at VirtualPCLS@pcls.us
3. When the Zoom program is scheduled to begin, log in and enjoy the program. If you have any problems logging in, contact us at VirtualPCLS@pcls.us

• The Pierce County Library recommends using the latest version of Zoom, with all current updates. Check for the latest version by clicking here.
• The Library System expects that all participants in Library virtual events and classes follow the Library Rules of Conduct. If an individual does not follow the Rules of Conduct, the library has the right to ask that individual to leave the virtual program.
