Read aloud with us to create community, amplify new stories, and celebrate literacy!
Whether you're an adult or child, speaker or listener, bringing your own story or borrowing one of ours, we welcome you to join us in celebrating the impact and importance of reading aloud! This program will be a drop-in event; come when you can and stay for as long as you'd like. We'll also be making paper reading crowns as a way to honor our growing brains!
World Read Aloud Day (WRAD) was created by literacy nonprofit LitWorld, "to celebrate the power of reading aloud to create community and amplify new stories, and to advocate for literacy as a foundational human right." This year is WRAD's 15th anniversary! You can find out more about WRAD and LitWorld here.
