Practice reading aloud with a friendly animal listener!

Share a story with a local adoptable bunny! 

Children are invited to read aloud to an animal friend, supported by trained staff from The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County. 

These sessions provide a calm, encouraging space for children to practice reading in a fun, low-pressure environment. Animal availability may vary depending on the library location and partner organization. Please check event details below or call your branch for specifics. 

Practice your reading aloud skills while entertaining the resident rabbits from The Humane Society for Tacoma & Pierce County! This event is intended for readers looking to improve their skills, but the bunnies are available for adoption. Recommended for ages 5-10 years with an adult, but all ages and abilities are welcome.
