Join us for a program that celebrates the rich creative and cultural diversity in Pierce County Communities through arts and culture experiences.

Immerse yourself in the rich sounds and stories of world flutes with Peter Ali’s inspiring program. This one-hour performance features music and cultural history from Native American and Mesoamerican traditions—including Plains, Woodland, Maya, and Toltec styles—alongside melodies from Middle Eastern and Nordic flutes. Peter shares personal stories that celebrate diversity, healing, and our interconnectedness. After the performance, enjoy a 30-minute introductory workshop on playing the Native American-style flute, open to participants from 5th grade through adult (especially popular with adults). Peter provides 25 cedar flutes in the Key of A for hands-on learning, making this a truly interactive and memorable experience.
