Welcome to the STEAM for Kids Discovery Lab, where kids dive into science, technology, engineering, art and math through hands-on activities, experiments and creative challenges.
Programs are designed to spark curiosity, build confidence and support child-led exploration.
Each STEAM Discovery Lab session may look a little different - read on or check with your library for details!
Oven Art - Draw, create, cut, trace, and make your mark on plastic items, then put them in the oven and watch them shrink down and concentrate their coloration to create small art pieces, perfect as charms, diorama actors, or the stars of your next stop-motion film.
The power of heat at work lets you see the plastic bend and shrink with some interesting angles and properties.
