Discover the vibrant world of Chicana/o and Latina/o art through the inspiring story of the Nepantla Cultural Arts Gallery.
 
Initially regarded as art world outsiders, founders Jake Prendez and Judy Avitia-Gonzalez turned a humble space into an award-winning public art gallery rooted in Chicana/o art traditions. Learn about how the Nepantla Cultural Art Gallery uplifts the Latinx community, artists, and anyone seeking a place of belonging and cultural expression while delving into the question, “What is Chicana/o art, and does it matter?”
