Drop in for reading-themed activities that support developing readers!

Ahoy mateys! Stop in for some pirate-themed fun on Talk Like a Pirate Day! Create your pirate name, make a pirate hat, find books about pirates and adventuring, and enjoy some fun activities and crafts - all while talking like a pirate! Kids can even earn pirate treasure by completing the treasure hunt!

Visit the library anytime during open hours to enjoy fun, self-guided activities that build confidence and excitement around reading. Ready Reader Anytime Activities are designed especially for children who are learning to read. Caregivers are encouraged to explore alongside their children to support emerging literacy skills in a relaxed, playful setting. Activities change regularly and may include games, puzzles, book-based crafts or reading challenges. No registration required - just stop in and play!
