Learn about the histories, contributions, and lived experiences of those around us, as we uplift voices and explore stories that serve as mirrors of our lives and windows into different experiences.

Join us for an engaging art workshop honoring the legacy of Frida Kahlo. Artist and teacher Amaranta Sandys will guide participants in creating a portrait inspired by Kahlo's distinctive style, using pastels, markers, gel pens, and other media. As an extension of the project, we will incorporate a white floral pattern on a black background—a tribute to Kahlo’s iconic fashion, known for its vibrant flowers and elaborate jewelry. Throughout the workshop, we will share biographical insights and explore her enduring influence on art and culture.
