Join local artist and organizer Saiyare Refaei for an inspiring look at how creativity can support community movements and build collective care. Saiyare shares their own journey of using art to uplift voices, strengthen connections, and raise awareness about local issues—including the immigrant detention center and the liquefied natural gas plant—while inviting participants to think about the many ways art can spark conversation and empathy. Through storytelling and reflection, attendees explore how artists can show up for their communities and how creative expression can become a powerful tool for understanding, healing, and hope.
