Come play, build, and explore in this interactive sensory play experience for young children and their caregivers! Start your visit with hands-on sensory activities facilitated by A Step Ahead in Pierce County, a local nonprofit that supports families of children with disabilities and developmental differences. Children will explore a variety of textures, tools, and materials that encourage movement, creativity, and discovery in a welcoming, inclusive environment.
The session wraps up with a short story time led by Pierce County Library staff—perfect for winding down and sharing stories together before heading home. A Step Ahead specialists will also be available throughout the program to answer questions, offer support, and connect families with helpful community resources.
This program is best suited for children ages 0–5 and their caregivers.
