Join us for a Poetry in the Park related program that celebrates the rich creative and cultural diversity in Pierce County Communities through arts and culture experiences.

Local poet and queer creative writer, Austin Sargent, will lead this interactive workshop and poetry reading. Explore foundations of creation, strategies for fighting writer's block, and share tips for writer self-care. Participants are encouraged to come with paper, pens, notebooks, or other writing utensils and a willingness to dig deep. All are welcome! Presented in partnership with Tahoma Bird Alliance and Tacoma Public Library.
